Hi there,

Just to let you know that the last (beta) version of ArgyllCMS supports Spyder (version 1 and 2). Check here for compilation and usage:

There are currently two applications that are using these drivers. These are ArgyllCMS which is Graeme Gills project and LProf (if you use CVS). Both have been tested with the Spyder 2 and a number of other meters.

ArgyllCMS is a set of command line tools that include monitor calibration and profiling functionality. Very powerful but not very user friendly. LProf is a Qt based GUI ICC profiler that is much easier to use but at present has somewhat simplistic display calibration and profiling algorithms. Both run on X11, Windows and OS/X platforms and can coexist on the same machine.

At this point the Spyder 2 code is not very mature. It works but is temperamental at least on my machine. This should improve as the drivers mature. Devices that have been supported for longer such as the EyeOne Display series, EyeOne Pro and DTP-94 are working very nicely and the Huey which was added to the library after the Spyder 2 is still problematic (IE. mostly not working) at this point.
